Jugalbandi programme - Mumbai - 19.2.2010

A Jugalbandi organised by Indo -American Society was performed at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chowpatty on 19th feb 2010 . The artists who performed were :

Snehal Mazoomdar - Santoor
Narayan Mani - Veena
Suresh Padmanabhan - Violin ( Myself )
Raghavendra Rao - Flute
Shyam sundar - Mridangam
Anirban - Tabla

Snehal started by playing the Raga Vasant in Hindustani followed by Narayan Mani on the Veena and as the concert picked up pace, Shri Thyagaraja's kriti Shiva Shiva was played in Raga Bandhuvarali .

It was nice to see enthusiastic audience occupying the seats well in advance and the auditorium was full by the time the concert commenced.

The one hour performance was cheered all the way by the audience .
